Mangaluru, Udupi: COVID-19 cases rising in DK, more recoveries in Udupi

Mangaluru, Udupi: The number of COVID-19 infections in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen.

On Friday 799 cases were reported while on Thursday it was 555. The number of recoveries, however, has decreased.

Seven new containment zones were created on Friday: 5 in Mangaluru and 2 in Bantwal.

In the Udupi district, new infections have declined while deaths from the virus have slightly raised. 766 new cases were reported on Friday along with 835 recoveries and 4 deaths.

Meanwhile, in the neighbouring Kasargod district, new infections have come down along with deaths. On Friday 534 new cases were reported with 580 recoveries.
