Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will be spraying organic disinfectant over the Shivaji Nagar, City Market and Majestic areas from 8 am to 10 am starting from Monday to fight against coronavirus.
A team of scientists & engineers from Stanford University, IITs and AIIMS have developed the concentrate under the banner of PerSapien Innovations. The concentrate is tested & verified by ICMR.
It is said that the aerial spray is chemical free, human safe Ayurveda based sanitizing solution.
An aircraft carrying around 100 litres of organic anti-microbial solution will fly over the areas to spray the disinfectant. Pollution Control Board officials will monitor the spraying and if proven effective the spraying will be taken up on large areas in the city.
Last year, BBMP had sprayed chemical disinfectants using drones.
