Mysuru: An incident where a man cycled almost 280 kilometres to get medicines for his mentally ill son was reported from here.
Anand, a construction worker and resident of Ganiganakoppalu village in T Narasipura taluk has been bringing medicines for the past ten years for his son which had to be bought from NIMHANS in Bengaluru.
The medicine was a necessity – missing one dose of it would make Anand’s son take other medicines for another 18 years.
As there was no other transport available to travel to Bengaluru due to the lockdown, Anand decided to travel on his bicycle.
He cycled for three consecutive days to reach Bengaluru and return home.
