Academic year in Karnataka to start from July 1

Bengaluru: The State government, in new orders, has revised the academic calendar announcing that the 2021-22 academic year will start from July 1.

Earlier the government had announced June 15 as the start of the school year for 2021-22. However, after the extension of the lockdown till June 14, the date for the academic year too had to be changed.

All government, aided and unaided primary and secondary schools in the State will re-opened from July 1.

The first phase of classes will be held from July 1 to August 10 and the second phase will be from August 21 to April 30, 2022.

Dussehra holidays will be from October 10 to 20 while the summer vacation will be from May 1 to 28, 2022.

School admission will start on June 15 and end on August 31.

In case if physical classes cannot be started then online classes will be started on July 1.
