Bengaluru: COVID-19 case fatality rate rises from 0.48% to 6.7% in eight weeks

Bengaluru: According to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) data released on Friday, the COVID-19 case fatality rate for Bengaluru has risen in eight weeks from 0.48% between April 9 and April 15 to 6.7% between May 28 and June 3.
It is said that the seventh day of Karnataka’s death rate has been recorded over 400 a day out of which Bengaluru has been recording more than 250 deaths daily.
The city had recorded 251 coronavirus deaths initially as compared to 1,869 deaths later in the same periods, the data showed.
