Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Monday said that all MLAs from the ruling party must concentrate and work towards the alleviation of the COVID-19 situation in the State and not at signature collection.

In a tweet, the chief minister said, “In this time when people are facing dire situation due to the pandemic, every BJP MLA must prioritise COVID-19 control activities in their constituency. No one should start a signature campaign or deliver political statements but should help those in distress.”

On Sunday, Yediyurappa, while speaking to reporters, said that when the high command asks me to resign I will, adding that is no dearth of leadership in the party.

The statement has created a stir in State’s politics.
