Udupi: Petrol bunk owner defrauded of Rs 18 lakhs

Kaup: An incident where the owner of a petrol bunk being cheated of Rs 18 lakhs by his manager was reported from Mulur in the taluk here.
The incident occurred at the Bharat Petroleum bunk on National Highway 66 at Mulur.
Bunk owner Deepakraj Shetty had hired Sukesh Shetty who was responsible for the finances of the bunk and depositing money in the bank.
Bharat Petroleum company officials recently informed Deepakraj about the differences in the amount of money deposited in the bank account.
When Deepakraj tried to contact Sukesh on May 27 his phone was switched off.
On May 28, when Deepakraj checked the bank statement, sales report, card statement and sales report he realised that Rs 18 lakh was missing.
Deepakraj then registered a case at Kaup police station against Sukhesh.
