Award-winning Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay declared brain dead

Bengaluru: National film award winner and Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay who met with a road accident here on Saturday, June 12 was declared brain dead on Monday, June 14.

Sanchari Vijay was declared as brain dead by the doctors treating him. His family has decided to donate his organs.

His brother Siddesh said, “The brain stem has stopped functioning so we have decided to donate his organs. Sanchari Vijay always believed in serving the society which we are fulfilling even by donating his organs.”

Sharing the news Sandalwood actor Sudeep tweeted, “Very very disheartening to accept that Sanchari Vijay breathed his last.
Met him couple of times just bfr this lockdown…all excited about his nxt film..tats due for release. Very sad. Deepest Condolences to his family and friends. RIP.”
