Bengaluru: Bengaluru is among the first in Karnataka to see the easing of restrictions as Covid-19 cases started showing a declining trend.
BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta cautioned the citizens and said that they must stay focused and disciplined in the coming months as that is critical for the management of Covid-19.
He further said that BBMP is intensifying Covid-19 testing, containment and isolation in the city. Also, carrying a 360-degree vaccination drive to ensure every adult in the city is vaccinated. However, it is the responsibilty of the citizens to curb the spread of the virus.
Gupta ordered the officials to conduct tests in railway stations, bus stands, check posts and toll booths in the city outskirts. Tests should also be carried out in hostels, paying guests (PG), factories, and construction sites. Also, RWAs must be instructed to conduct tests on those coming from outside to the apartments.
