Udupi: Soon after the lockdown in the State was further relaxed, vehicle, as well as human traffic in the town, increased.

On Monday, June 14, the first day of lockdown, authorities collected Rs 24,800 in fines from violators of Unlock guidelines.

Most of the fines were collected from motorists who were unnecessarily moving around in the town and other parts of the district.

Many roadside vendors who had opened their stalls too were fined.

In the Unlock process, the State government has allowed full or partial operations of certain commercial and industrial sectors.
