Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has asked the State government to justify its decision to promote all regular pre-university college students while asking repeaters in the academic year 2021 to appear for the examination.
The notice for a justification was issued by a division bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Hanchate Sanjeevkumar while hearing a petition filed by the Gnana Mandira Education Trust alleging that the government’s action regarding the PUC examination is discriminatory.
Education Minister Suresh Kumar acknowledged receiving the court’s notice and said that the Department will arrive at a conclusion soon.
The next hearing on the petition will be on June 17, 2021.
