Pune: The Serum Institute of India (SII) is expected to begin clinical trials of the Novavax Covid 19 vaccine for children in July.
The vaccine is likely to be launched in India in September. It is the second coronavirus vaccine to be made in India by the Serum Institute after Covishield that has been developed in partnership with the Oxford University and British-Swedish pharma firm AstraZeneca.
Novavax will be the fourth Covid-19 vaccine to undergo a clinical trial for children in India.
