K’taka govt releases notification for SSLC exam; all students to be passed, no revaluation

Bengaluru: The State government has issued an official notification for the current academic year’s SSLC examination.

The notification states that all students to appear for the examination will be passed with minimum marks and no re-evaluation will be allowed.

The examination schedule is yet to be announced.

Instead of marks students will be graded. A+ for those scoring 90 to 100 marks, A for those scoring 80 to 89 marks, B for those scoring 60 to 79 marks and C for those scoring 35 to 59 marks.

All question papers will have multiple-choice questions.

Each subject will have 80 marks instead of 40 with a total score of 625 marks. First Language will have 125 marks.

The first opportunity to appear for supplementary exams will be for students who were unable to appear due to COVID-19.

This scheme will be limited to that 2020-21 academic year

8.77 lakh students are registered to appear for the exam.

There will be 6,000 exam centres this year. Each desk will have only one student with 12 students per room. There should be a 6-foot gap between the students. All students must be mandatorily vaccinated.
