Koppal: State minister BC Patil on Saturday, June 19 said that BJP MLC AH Vishwanath’s remarks against BS Yediyurappa were made out of desperation.
Addressing presspersons here BC Patil said, “CM Yediyurappa has given clarifications on the allegations made against him by Vishwanath.”
“We joined BJP and became ministers due to our people’s and party’s support. We respect everyone in the party and there is no misunderstanding amongst us,” said Patil.
“BJP party has accepted us therefore we should not simply make any disrespectful comments against its members and leaders,” he added.
Vishwanath had claimed that most party leaders, who met BJP general secretary Karnataka in-Arun Singh, felt that leadership in the state should be changed otherwise the party shall neither survive nor come back to power.
He also alleged that Yediyurappa’s son Vijayendra seems to be involved in all the state departments and people are talking about his corruption.
“I have already spoken to the party in charge before on issues concerning the functioning of government, party, transparency, and our responsibility towards people. There’s corruption. His (CM) son, Vijayendra seems to be involved in all the state departments. The public is talking about intervention and corruption of his son,” Vishwanath had said.
“They (leaders who met Arun Singh) are not saying it openly. More than 80 percent who met him said that leadership (in state) must be changed otherwise party won’t survive and we won’t come back again (to power). Many leaders, even ministers, said this,” said the BJP MLC.
