All shops permitted to open from June 23 in Dakshina Kannada: Kota Poojary

Mangaluru: In a big relief to traders and shopkeepers, the Dakshina Kannada district administration has decided to allow all shops to function till 2 pm from tomorrow (June 23) onwards.

District in-charge minister Kota Poojary stated that he met chief minister BS Yediyurappa and highlighted him on the plight of traders who are reeling under financial hardships amid the present restrictions.

In this backdrop, the Chief Minister has offered relaxation by allowing all shops to function. An official announcement will be released soon, he stated.

Poojary however urged people to exercise caution and adhere to the norms.

“People must avoid unwanted travel. Efforts must be made to reduce the positivity rate, people should come forth and get themselves vaccinated,” he urged.
