Uppunda: Drunk man tries to swim across lake, drowns

Uppunda: A drunk man in Uppunda who tried to swim across the Maiyyadi lake in the city drowned on Tuesday.

It is said that the man had consumed alcohol and then decided to swim across the lake. However, as the man was in an inebriated state, he drowned to death.

Police and fire and rescue services personnel are yet to retrieve the body of the man.
