Gangavati: The dead body of a young woman, who married a man after falling in love on Facebook, was found at Sanapur in the taluk here.
Shilpa (19) had married Vikram (22) on December 20, 2020, after a year-long courtship mostly on Facebook.
After marriage, both were living in Vikram’s parents’ house at Sanapur.
Later, Shilpa reported to her parents that her in-laws are harassing her for dowry. When she was found hanging on Tuesday night her parents alleged that she was murdered.
Shilpa’s father Santosh Peterson has lodged a complaint with the police claiming it to be a murder.
