Mangaluru: Two police officials, while on duty, repaired a road on their own to ease vehicle traffic during the lockdown relaxation period.
Kadri traffic police inspector Gopalakrishna Bhat and police constable Ahmed Basheer decided to patch up a stretch on the Bunts Hostel Road here.
Vehicle traffic on this road is more and the half-finished Smart City work on it was frustrating motorists and the police officials.
They contacted the City Corporation to send workers to fix it but were told that they could not for some reason.
Taking the matter into their hands the duo decided to fix the problem themselves and finished the work soon.
The photos and videos of the two officials in uniform at work are now viral on social media and both are receiving praise for their deeds.
