Bengaluru: A Bengaluru court has asked Wipro Technologies to reinstate its employee who was allegedly forced to resign from the company in 2018.
The 3rd Additional Labour Court also directed the company to pay the employee full back wages, arrears of pay and such other dues and benefits.
The alleged forced resignation of the employee had taken place on March 2, 2018. The man was forced to resign with no apparent reason, said Karnataka State IT/ITeS Employees Union.
Amid widespread termination of employees due to the pandemic, the union had also opened a help desk to address the concerns of affected employees.
