An online class conducted by a Mumbai-based college was interrupted after porn clips started playing on their screens.
About 65 participants, including students, guest lecturers, and college faculty were part of the class.
The college is situated in Vile Parle. As per a report by the Times of India, the management filed an FIR against unknown persons for hacking the link and playing the objectionable video.
Under the relevant sections of the IPC and IT Act, Mumbai Police has registered a case against unidentified miscreants.
The Juhu Police is trying to track the IP address of the accused.
Senior officer Shashikant Mane said, “The cyber cell is working on tracing the person who is suspected to have uploaded the objectionable video 40 minutes into the online lecture.”
It is important to note that a similar incident took place 15 days back at a Sakinaka-based college in which a 15-year-old boy was arrested from Rajasthan. It was found that the minor allegedly entered coding classes and flashed before female instructors.
