Lockdown violations: Cafe raided, Two arrested in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: The city police arrested two people after conducting a raid at Shisha cafe here on Wednesday, June 30.

The arrested are the manager and an employee, their identity is yet to be known.

During the raid, 17 people were found consuming hookah.

The police will also be writing for the cancellation of the cafe’s trade licence and probe will also be conducted as to whether drugs were consumed.

The police have registered a case against the owner under the Epidemic Act for keeping the cafe open after 2 pm.
