CM BSY launches 45-day biodiversity awareness campaign

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa launched a 45-day long biodiversity awareness campaign in the State.

The campaign will be organised at the village, taluk and district levels. Locals will be made aware of a range of issues concerning biodiversity.

As part of the campaign field visits, surveying, documentation and conservation activities will be held.

Ananth Hegde Ashisara, chairman of the Karnataka Biodiversity Board said that the theme for the campaign is ‘We are a part of solutions for Nature.’

He added that through the campaign all biodiversity committees at the panchayat level will be made more active.
