Mandya: Twin sisters from Hanasanahalli village in Sirangapatna taluk committed suicide over the fear of being separated after marriage.
Deepika and Divya, both aged 19, daughters of Suresh and Yashoda hanged themselves in two separate rooms.
It is said that both the sisters were close to each other since they were born. Recently, parents had planned to marry them off to men from different families.
Saddened by the fact that they will be separated after marriage, both sisters decided to end their lives.
A case in this regard has been filed in Arakere police station.
