PU-II repeaters to be passed without examination, K’taka govt tells HC

Bengaluru: The State government has told the Karnataka High Court that second-year pre-university exam repeater candidates will be passed without examination.
The government gave this information to a divisional bench of the High Court which was hearing a petition regarding the issue.
The government also said that they have decided to give 35% grace marks to the repeater candidates.
There are currently over 76,000 repeater candidates for the second year PU exam.
The PUC final year examinations for the academic year 2020-21 were cancelled by the State government due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The PU students would be passed on the basis of their first year PUC and SSLC marks, these results are yet to be announced.
