New Zika virus case reported in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: State’s Health Minister Veena George has said that a 24-year-old woman from here has been found to be infected with the Zika virus.
It was reported that the woman had the virus symptoms since June 28 and is currently being treated at a private hospital.
She had given birth to a baby on June 7 and her health condition is stable, the report added.
The symptoms of Zika are similar to those of dengue along with pain in the limbs.
Another 13 people are suspected to be infected with the virus. We are waiting for their reports from Pune, George said.
On Thursday, 13,772 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Kerala. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the State has now increased to 1,10,136
