Over 600 GPs in K’taka to get new Aadhar centres

Bengaluru: The State government will be setting up new Aadhar centres in villages across the State.

Principal secretary of the Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department LK Atheeq in a letter to all zilla panchayat chief executive officers stated the demand for Aadhar centres is increasing in rural areas.

The first phase in the setting up of the new Aadhar centres will involve 630 gram panchayats where panchayat officials will be given mobile devices for Aadhar enrollment or for changing Aadhar details.

Atheeq stated in the letter that not more than Rs 50 should be charged from citizens for the services.
