Bengaluru: In a tweet, Siddaramaiah stated that a Congress worker from Karkala was beaten by police on false charges.
“Police brutality against Congress worker Radhakrishna Nayak in Karkala
Regardless of his illness,
Based on the old false case,
Police thrashed him.
Udupi Police Superintendent should investigate the incident and bring justice to the young man,” Siddaramaiah had tweeted.
The official Twitter handle of the Karnataka Congress also tweeted regarding this.
“In this BJP government, it is clear that the police are acting according to the dictates of the BJP leaders.
The BJP-conspired police attack on our worker Radhakrishna in Karkala is condemnable.
We demand the suspension of the police officials who inhumanely attacked him without giving any regard to his illness,” the handle tweeted.
Karkala city police had summoned Radhakrishna to the police station in connection with a social media post by him against warriors.
Later Radhakrishna was admitted to a hospital and the police were accused of brutality.
