Udupi: A case has been filed at the Manipal police station after food kits stocked at the Labour Department were allegedly stolen.
The kits were kept at the office of the Department to be distributed among labourers in the Alevoor gram panchayat.
It was reported that a man, resident of the Alevoor village, had come to the Department’s office and had taken them away to deliver at the gram panchayat office.
The kits, reportedly, did not reach the gram panchayat.
The president of the panchayat Pushpa Anchan registered a police complaint against the man who took the kits and an inspector of the Labour Department.
