Sullia: Temple official takes exception to Christian, Hindus boys playing together; authorities clarify matter

Sullia: A video of the authorities of a temple near Jayanagar here objected to a Christian youth playing with Hindu boys in the temple playground went viral on social.

After the video was widely shared on all social media platforms, the temple authorities and the Christian youth went to the police station and resolved the issue.

The temple authorities clarified that earlier it was decided that no one will be allowed to play within the temple premises as it is wrong. Therefore they asked the youths to move out of the campus and not to spread religious intolerance.

In the video, the man representing the temple was head telling Christian youth not to play in the temple premises. He also questioned Hindus why they are playing with people following other religions.

The Hindu boys, however, supported the Christian boy, duly questioning why religious matters are being brought in the matter of playing.

The incident had drawn strong reactions on social media.
