Home Guard Commandant Dr Prashanth Shetty receives CM Gold Medal

Dr K Prashanth Shetty, Commandant of Home Guards, Udupi district has been conferred with Chief Minister Gold Medal by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddiyurappa on Tuesday.

Prashanth took charge as Commandant of Home Guards in 2013 and since then he has been successfully managing the department by recruiting 150 new members and launching 2 women units.

Shetty who is a doctor by profession is the Director of Kapu Prashanth Hospital and the Founder of Prashanth Para Medical unit.

Prashanth has received many awards for his incredible service in his field including the Mother Teresa Sadbhavana Award from the Global Achievers Foundation of Delhi for the best medical care in rural areas.
