A 10-year-old boy lost three fingers of his right hand and sustained burn injuries to his eyes and face reportedly due to a mobile phone explosion.
The victim, Karthik Ramesh Kaladagi was rushed to Savanur taluk hospital, where he was given preliminary treatment and referred to KIMS, Hubballi for further treatment.
The explosion took place when the boy was playing on the mobile while it was charging.
The Savanur police have registered a case.
