Udupi: Garage owner dies after car falls into ditch

Kaup: An incident where a car fell into a ditch at Panjiyur Pejattkatte near Ellur on the Uchchila-Mudarangadi road killing the driver was reported on Monday morning.
The deceased was recognised as Ravindra Poojary (38), a resident of Koppalangadi near Kaup.
Poojary owns a garage at Udyavara’s Balaipade and had gone to Ellur on Sunday night.
It was reported that the accident occurred to have been on his return from Ellur.
Poojary was seriously injured as he was thrown out of the car after it hit a mud mound and then fell into the ditch.
The car in the ditch was noticed by a newspaper distributor who informed the locals who informed Padubidri police.
Police officials visited the spot and registered a case.
