Kasaragod woman dies after husband brutally beats her

Kasargod: A 23-year-old woman, who was mercilessly thrashed by her husband on Monday night succumbed to her injuries at a hospital today (July 20).

The deceased is identified as Smitha, a resident of Bedadka Korattikundu Colony. Police have taken her husband Arun Kumar into custody for questioning.

As per reports, neighbours heard Smitha’s screams and rushed to their house. Though they rushed a critically injured Smitha to a hospital she breathed her last. Her mortal remains are preserved in the mortuary of Pariyaram Medical College Hospital.

It is not yet known why Arun assaulted her mercilessly, thus leading to her death.
