Bengaluru: Amid the speculation of Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa being replaced by the end of this month, an audio clip, allegedly of the BJP’s Karnataka chief, Nalin Kumar Kateel talking of a leadership change in the state, had gone viral.

Kateel in his statements said that the audio is fake and denied any association with the recording. He also requested to order a probe in this regard.

However, BS Yediyurappa has claimed that the voice in the viral audio is of Nalin Kumar Kateel, and thus, there is no need for a probe in the matter.

He was speaking during a meeting with loyalist ministers and some legislators at Taj West end hotel in Bengaluru.  It is said that the ministers discussed the alleged audio of State BJP president.  Yediyurappa said that there is no need for a probe in the incident as it is Nalin Kumar’s voice.

It is said that the Chief Minister also hinted towards major developments in state politics by Tuesday evening.

The audio went viral soon after a weekend visit to Delhi by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to meet the BJP national leadership.

In the 47-second audio clip, the voice resembling Kateel’s is heard saying that senior ministers Eshwarappa and Jagadish Shetter’s whole team will be removed from the cabinet.
