Mangaluru: Cong leaders MB Patil, Janardhan Poojary visit Oscar Fernandes at hospital

Mangaluru: Veteran Congress leader and former KPCC president Janardhan Poojary and former Karnataka Home Minister MB Patil separately visited Oscar Fernandes at the hospital here.

Oscar Fernandes was admitted to the ICU of the Yenepoya Hospital here after falling at his home and suffering injuries to the head.

He is yet to regain consciousness.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the hospital Patil said, “Oscar is currently being treated by a team of specialist physicians including from Manipal. Pejawara Swami too inquired about his health.”

“Oscar is like my father. He helped me to rise to the position that I did. He is always the gentleman. I will pray for his health,” Patil added.

Later Janardhan Poojary too spoke to reporters after visiting the hospital.

In an emotional and shaking voice, he said that Oscar will come out of the hospital healthy.

“I will pray to god to help him recover soon,” he added.
