Orange, Yellow Alert issued for coastal Karnataka till July 27

Mangaluru: The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for the entire coastal Karnataka till the morning of July 24.

The Department also issued Yellow Alert till July 27 fro July 24.

The three coastal districts will receive ample rainfall and experience strong winds during this period.

On Thursday, intermittent rainfall was reported from various parts of the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

Heavy rainfall was reported from the Kodagu district causing landslides on the highway stretch between Kushalnagar and Sampaje.

Deputy Commissioner Charulata Somal visited areas where the rains caused damages to property.
