Mangaluru: State Congress President D K Shivakumar on Friday said that BJP cannot give a competent government to the state and that is why there are leadership change discussions in the party.
Speaking to the reporters in Mangaluru, Shivakumar said, ” BJP party does not have respect. Despite being a double-engine government, they could not provide good administration to the state. Even if the Chief Minister is changed, it will still be a corrupt and incompetent government again.”
He further said, ” Several files are being cleared, especially the files in the water department are being cleared without proper verification. I will talk about this in the assembly with proper evidence.”
“Also, if anybody wants to join congress, they can submit an application. Several ministers in the BJP are willing to join Congress, I will not reveal their names,” he added.
Congress leader Siddaramaiah said, ” BJP has never cared about the well-being of the people. BS Yediyurappa has still not given flood relief to the 2019 flood victims. There are floods in several places of the state. Rather than helping the people, BJP is discussing leadership change. I don’t expect that an honest Chief Minister will come, as BJP itself is a corrupt party.”
