Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the sex video case involving MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi has reported that they have found no evidence against the MLA.
In its closure report on the case, the SIT states that they do have, however, found evidence of extortion against the woman involved in the scandal.
The woman reportedly met the MLA, who was the water resources minister, not seeking any jobs but with the stated intention to seek permission to shoot videos of dams in the State for a movie studio.
She later developed intimacy with him as part of an extortion plot conspired by two former employees of news companies – Naresh Gowda and Shravan Kumar.
The SIT stated that they have found a call record where she is telling the duo after meeting Jarkiholi that the job is done.
The SIT is waiting for clearance from the Karnataka High Court to file its B report or closure report in courts.
