Actor Sherlyn Chopra accuses Raj Kundra of sexual assault

Model-actress Sherlyn Chopra has accused Raj Kundra of sexual misconduct.

Sherlyn had reportedly appeared from the Mumbai Crime Branch’s Property Cell to record her statement in connection with the pornography case. She had even issued an FIR against Raj in April 2021 of sexual assault.

TOI reported, “Sherlyn revealed that in early 2019, Raj Kundra called her business manager about a proposal that he wanted to discuss. After the business meeting on March 27, 2019, Sherlyn claimed that Raj showed up unannounced at her house due to a heated argument over a text.”

The actress said that he started kissing her even though she resisted and even claimed that she didn’t want to get involved with a married man. As a response, Raj told her his relationship with his wife Shilpa Shetty was complicated and he was stressed most of the time at home.

Sherlyn said that she asked him to stop as she was scared and in sometime, she managed to push him and rushed into the washroom.

The actress had shared a video on her Instagram claiming that it was her who approached Mumbai Police first in the Raj Kundra case.

For the unversed, Raj Kundra was charged under section 376 of Indian Penal Code r/w section 384, 415, 420, 504 and 506, 354 (a) (b) (d), 509, of Indian Penal Code, 67, 67 (A), of Information Technology Act 2008, sec 3 & 4 of Indecent Representation of Women Act 1986.

He is currently in 14-day judicial custody, he was denied bail by the lower court on Wednesday (July 28).
