Bengaluru: An online war-of-words between two youths turned into a bloody feud when one of the youths and his friends were allegedly assaulted at a cafe in Kammanahalli.
It is said that Suhas and his four friends, all professional footballers who play for the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) League’s junior division, were at their regular hangout spot at MRA Cafe, Kammanahalli on Monday evening.
Three youths came on a bike and one of them asked Suhas to come with him. Suhas told him that he would finish his tea and then talk to him.
All of a sudden, the men began attacking Suhas. The main accused Dheeraj Naidu pulled out a dagger and injured Suhas’ neck and head. Suhas’ friends informed his brother, Udit who rushed to the spot and took him to the hospital.
Suhas claimed that a week ago they all were having fun on a social audio app, where they had 15-20 participants. Dheeraj put one of the girl’s photograph as his display picture and began abusing her.
Suhas was the moderator of the group, he abused and blocked Dheeraj from the group. Dheeraj then decided to teach him a lesson and assaulted him.
A case has been registered and police are yet to arrest the accused as Dheeraj and his friends are absconding.
