Sullia: Teacher arrested for allegedly sexually abusing minor student

Sullia: A high school teacher from the Raichur district working in Sullia Taluk has been arrested on Sunday, August 8 for allegedly sexually abusing a minor student.
The arrested accused has been identified as Gururaj. It is said that he allegedly asked the said student to visit his house for project work and was sexually assaulting her since 2018.
He had also clicked a few photographs of the victim and threatened her not to reveal the incident. He had even forced her to bring money.
The victim’s mother has filed a complaint to the Subrahmanya Police. The complaint also stated that the teacher’s wife was aware of the abuse.
The police have booked cases against him under various sections of the IPC, Pocso act, and IT Act.
