Bantwal: A 54-year-old man was killed after a truck hit his scooter at Budoli in the taluk.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Bangera (54), son of Manju Belchada, a resident of Kanyana Parakaje. He was going towards Uppinangady on some personal work when a truck approaching from the opposite side rammed into his scooter.
The rider who was stuck under the truck was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
Police officials visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
