Mangaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has hinted at opening a National Investigation Agency (NIA) office in the city here on Friday.
There have been demands for setting up an NIA branch in Mangaluru, following the recent raid at Ullal for alleged ISIS links.
Speaking to reporters Bommai said that “An efficient leader is heading the home department. The home minister will continue to hold meetings in this regard.
“A decision on setting an NIA branch will be taken after the home minister’s visit TO the coastal district to take stock of the situation. We cannot reveal everything publicly,” he added.
