Bengaluru: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has ordered the Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) in Bengaluru that residents returning from inter-state travel must mandatorily carry negative RT-PCR tests not older than 72 hours.
RAWs have been told to report to zonal health officials or BBMP marshals if there is a breach of COVID-appropriate behavior.
RWAs have also been directed to limit deliveries to the main gate. They were also told to discourage congregations in common areas.
However, activities like walking, jogging and physical exercise in common areas such as walkways and parks have been permitted. BBMP has allowed gymnasiums, non-contact sports facilities to function with 50% capacity.
