Mangaluru: Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday said that the main intention of their ministries is to provide jobs to the youth and internet connectivity in rural areas.
Speaking at the Janasheervada Yatra organised by the BJP here he said, “MP Nalin Kumar Kateel had asked for an IT park in the district here, I will do my best to realise it.”
“Internet is everything today. Our government is planning to make sure that the internet reaches all villages. For this, we have expanded the BharatNet program. A pilot ‘digital village’ project will be initiated by the government soon. The project intends to bring internet to every village in Karnataka and a village from every district of the State has already been selected for the project,” Chandrasekhar added.
