Malpe: John Jattan, a resident of Vadabandeshwar near here who worked as petroleum company supervisor at the Kabul airport said that the god he believes in has sent him to his hometown in time.

“I had been working in Afghanistan for many years. I left 15 days ago to Afghanistan after my holidays. The Taliban were seizing every airport in the country. They could not seize Kabul airport due to more security there,” Jattan added.

“The company chief immediately instructed us to leave and on August 15. We got home safely after being airlifted by the Indian Air Force,” Jattan said.
