Mangaluru, Udupi: Electoral roll revision to be held till Aug 31

Mangaluru, Udupi: The exercise to revise the electoral roll will be held till August 31 in the twin districts.
The draft electoral roll will be published on November 1 and objections and appeals will be accepted between November 1 and 30.
The appeals and objections will be heard and settled held on December 20 and the final electoral roll will be published on January 5, 2022.
In the Dakshina Kannada district, nodal officers assistant nodal officers have been assigned for Vidhan Sabha constituencies for this exercise.

The documents needed for voter registration or voter record updation are 2 passport size photos, age proof (should be 18 years as of 1st January 2022), school certificates, birth certificate, Aadhaar card, passport, SSLC or PUC mark sheet, PAN card.
For proof of address, documents can include ration card, gas cylinder receipt, electricity bill, copy of bank passbook, passport, driving license, rental contract.
The following forms must be filled according to one’s status:
– Form-6 for name addition
– Form 6A for NRIs to add their names to the electoral roll
– Form-7 for removal of names from electoral rolls
– Form-8 for amendment of errors and Form 8-A in case of change of address within the same Assembly constituency.
