Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has ordered officials to formulate a business development plan for the revival of Karnataka Handloom Development Corporation Limited (KHDCL).
The chief minister gave the notice at a meeting on improving the financial situation of KHDCL at his residential office on Tuesday.
He said that the government will pay Rs 5 crore of the Rs 10 crore loss faced by the corporation in the supply of uniforms to the Education Department and the remaining Rs 5 crore will be generated through the new business plan.
Bommai also instructed officials to set up a committee to oversee the multi-village drinking water projects taken up with a view to speed up the implementation of the Jaljeevan Mission project, adding that he would review the progress of the project every month.
