Chikkamagaluru: BJP national general secretary C T Ravi on Tuesday urged the government to name toilets, built under the Swachh Bharat campaign after Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at an event here, the BJP leader said that in the last seven years, 13.5 crore toilets have been constructed in the country under the project.

“The project has helped to preserve the honour of the ladies and naming the scheme after Modi is a symbol of respect and pride,” he stated.

Responding to a media question about former minister Vinay Kulkarni’s meeting with KPCC president D K Shivakumar after being released on bail, Ravi said that in Congress party one has to go to jail and indulge in corruption to be eligible for the promotion.
