Mangaluru, Udupi: The Met Department has issued an Orange Alert for all three coastal districts of Karnataka for August 29.
Most parts of the State are receiving good showers for the past two days due to a low air pressure zone created over the Bay of Bengal.
The Department also issued a Yellow Alert for August 30 for Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu and Uttara Kannada districts and southern parts of interior Karnataka.
In neighbouring Kerala’s Kasargod district heavy downpour continued throughout Saturday that had started on Friday night.
Electricity supply was disrupted to many areas of the district as several electric poles had fallen.
